Support our Work

Thank you for your interest in supporting us and visiting our website!

Volunteer with us

GWAD is always happy about new volunteers. Depending on your background, you can support us in the field of workshops and trainings for our farmers and member groups, with our administrational work as well as the public relations work. To learn more, just contact us! Together, we’ll find out how your experience and knowledge can support GWAD.

Donations

As a non-profit organisation with a grassroots approach, we keep our expenses very limited and work on a voluntary basis. However, we rely on donations to implement our projects and are always thankful for support.

With your donations, we for example:

-          Finance our small office in Gulu

-          Cover expenses for telephone and internet use

-          Cover expenses for transport and driving to visit our members and do workshops in the field

Please find our bank address and Mobile money account below if you can support our work financially. For questions on our finances, contact our accountant Denis Oceng.

Fundraising

As a devoted organisation, we are always working on new projects and developing proposals. Currently, we are looking for funding for two projects:

1.     STAY_GULU

The “Sustainability Training in Agricultures for Youth in Gulu” is designed to open up perspectives for unemployed youth in the Gulu region. Through a three-month-training, they will be empowered and enabled to become self-reliant members of society in general and their communities in particular. They will gain knowledge on climate resilient, sustainable and organic farming techniques which they will then take back to their villages and share it in the communities to increase the high quality food supply in this region. Further, they will learn how to make financially responsible decisions and become self-sufficient which will ensure a secure income and the education of the next generation. The training will also include knowledge on peace building, gender justice and democratic decision-making.

2.     The greenhouse project

More information will soon be provided here.

If you have interest in supporting these projects, contact our field officer Solomon Rackara.
